Abstract: Legally enshrined, both at national and international level, obvious or not, vulnerability is present in criminal law, whether it is related to a state, a situation of a person or even to a category of persons. In the context of the legal definition of the term "vulnerable person", it is interesting to analyse the reason why, in the different criminalization hypotheses, the causes of the existence of vulnerability are distinct.
