Abstract: The study examines the legal regime of the notification by which the individual employment contract ceases, at the initiative of either party, for the duration or at the end of the probationary period. The analysis follows the relationship between the simplified nature of the mechanism provided by Article 31 (3) of the Labor Code and the requirements regarding the written form, communication, duration calculation, good faith, contract suspension and judicial control. Divergent doctrinal and jurisprudential guidelines are presented critically.
